After five months of planning and collaboration, we were delighted to present the commission quilt, "Courtly Ties," to Annette and Jon Hopkins at our July meeting.
Created using the beautiful New York Beauty pattern, the quilt was made from Jon's silk ties from his years as a trial attorney, transforming treasured memories into a one-of-a-kind keepsake. It was a joyful and memorable occasion to present the finished quilt.
We are grateful to Annette and Jon Hopkins for their support of the guild and to the six volunteers whose talent and dedication made this project possible.
Special thanks to our block makers: Suzanne Hoyt, Ingrid Zamot-Sachs, Barbara Peebles, and Kris Nelson; Renee Schultz-Hein designed and assembled the quilt top, and Lan Ali-Adeeb completed the quilting and created the matching decorative pillow.
This project was a tremendous success because of the creativity, craftsmanship, and teamwork of everyone involved. Thank you for making it possible!
