Our March speaker was one of our own members, Kris Nelson, who presented an engaging program on Foundation Paper Piecing. Kris walked us through the entire process of creating a New York Beauty quilt block using silk necktie fabric, including a hands-on demonstration of how to sew the block. Following the presentation, members shared their own projects created using the foundation paper piecing technique, showcasing a variety of beautiful and creative work. The theme of our February speaker, Yvonne Phenicie, was "Sew Many Curves". Her quilts were created using Quick Curve rulers and pattern books featured on this page. The quilts are both fun and absolutely gorgeous. Pattern books used for some of the Yvonne's quilts. Block of the Month and Show & Tell by Theresa Dapiran, Suzanne Hoyt, Susanne Scholz, Leanne Harvey, and Kathy Verstoppen. HAPPY NEW YEAR of 2026! Kerrie Hershey shared her collection of quilts. Guild's activities and Show & Tell. Good food, great games, and even better company, our annual Christmas party was a blast. We shared our works of art during Show & Tell, and this year we also took time to recognize and appreciate the volunteers and teachers who support the Sewing Club at Lower Lake Elementary School. Their time, effort, and dedication made the program such a wonderful success, and we are truly grateful for all they do. Lynn Koolish presented "Make Design Principles Work for You" using basic design principles for creating compelling work no matter the preference style - Art, Modern, or Traditional. She compared four well known quilt artists that work in different styles and how they put design principles to work in their quilts.
