Our January meeting was dedicated to the memory of our guild founder, Shelly Aldrich. We learned how LLQG was formed with 11 members in 2001; how talented, creative Shelley was, and generous in sharing and teaching the fiber arts to new members. Most of all we enjoyed and admired Shelley's quilts, photography, and other art works.

We were lucky to have Laura Foggs as a speaker in our September meeting. Laura showed us her artistic sense of designs using fabrics and collages techniques. Laura trunk show was also amazing.

We had a nice birthday party and have enjoyed the trunk show from Yvonne Phenicie, "I love a challenge". Yvonne's Round Robin and Challenge quilts were inspiring and would give everyone a good idea for the next challenge quilt.

The highlight of our March meeting was "Crazy Quilt".
Kerrie Hershey gave us a brief history of Crazy Quilting and demonstrated a modern paper pieced Crazy Quilt method.
Barbara Haddon demonstrated traditional and freestyle methods.
Kris Nelson shared her extensive collection of antique crazy quilts, fabric, laces, buttons, and other beautiful objects used on crazy quilts.
