The 2010 Opportunity Quilt , "Atlantis by the Lake", was made by LLQG member, Marian Drain, using a block of the month pattern created by Annette Ornelas of www.southwindquilts.com .  Dimensional piecing, bright colors and graceful curves abound on this year's quilt.  This innovative and creative patchwork technique is referred to as Peeled Back patchwork.  The peeled back (curved) sections were hand sewn in place to further enhance the illusion of depth. Annette Ornelas has a web site: www.southwindquilts.com that is fun to check out, too.
