LLQG makes a quilt every year to be raffled as a fund-raiser.  The quilt was made by the group of members on a committee.  Our first quilt was made in 200l and we have volunteers to make quilts each year.  The current quilt travels to other guild meetings, quilt shops, local festivals and even Farmer's Markets.

About our 2008 Opportunity Quilt:   

“Trees” Opportunity Quilt 2008

            The inspiration and design for the quilt was created by Shelley Aldrich. Shelley supplied the background fabric and asked members of the guild to create their own “Tree Block”. Marj Sweeney and Pam Fiora worked together assembling the quilt top consisting of various blocks in all different sizes; the machine quilting was done by Julie Nodine.  Wilma Taylor added the binding. Special thanks to Pam Hendricks for designing and creating a beautiful machine embroidered label for the back. It was truly a group effort in making this beautiful Opportunity Quilt.

The drawing will be held on the second day of our annual Falling Leaves Quilt Show being held the first full weekend in October,

The Drawing date is Sunday, October 5, 2008.
