Our Opportunity Quilt!

LLQG makes a quilt every year to be raffled as a fund-raiser. The quilt is made by a group of members on a committee. Our first quilt was made in 200l and we have volunteers to make quilts each year. The current quilt travels to other guild meetings, quilt shops, local festivals and even Farmer's Markets.

The quilt was made using a block of the month pattern created by Annette Ornelas using a Patchwork technique she refers to as Peeled Back patchwork. She has a book with the same name that shows this technique as well as a few others. It was pieced with gradated fabrics. The peeled back sections were hand sewn in place. It was quilted by machine.
